Water tank cleaning
Water tank cleaning is a Power Zone service in Lebanon and Dubai, part of plumbing & water systems. Request it online; most jobs start with a site survey and an itemised quotation.
Rooftop and underground water tanks collect sediment, algae and rust over time, which affects the water reaching every tap in the building. Tank cleaning empties the tank, removes the build-up, cleans and disinfects the inner surfaces, and refills it so the supply runs clean again.
What's included
- Draining the tank and safely disposing of sludge and sediment
- Scrubbing walls, floor and lid to remove algae, scale and rust
- Disinfecting the inner surfaces before refilling
- Checking the lid, inlet, outlet and overflow for damage or gaps
- Refilling and confirming the water runs clear
When you need it
- Cloudy, discoloured or smelly water from the taps
- Sediment or particles in sinks, filters or the water heater
- A long time since the tank was last cleaned
- After construction work, flooding or a long period without use
What affects the price
- Number of tanks and their size
- Tank material and how easy it is to reach (rooftop or underground)
- How much sediment has built up
- Whether the lid, valves or fittings need repair
There are no fixed prices: every quotation is itemised after the site survey.
Questions
How long does tank cleaning take?
Most tanks are done within a few hours, depending on size and condition. The water supply is off only while the tank is being cleaned.
How often should a water tank be cleaned?
It depends on the water source and the tank's condition. Many buildings clean their tanks once or twice a year; the site survey tells you what yours needs.
